Family Time: Family Photographer, Greenwood, SC

As I frantically try to finish my shopping, cleaning, wrapping, and cooking…. along with kids, school, pets and elves, I also reflect on the meaning of family. Christmas time is a beautiful time, full of love and wonder, where the gift of giving supersedes anything you can receive. I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas with their families and in the mean time completes all of the outrageous tasks we take on during this season!

Here is a family enjoying their time together. Beautiful day, beautiful people, but most of all, a beautiful family.

A Super Fun Family: Family Photography Greenwood, SC

I know I’m going to have fun when I have an excited mom on my hands and this family was no exception!  When I arrived we quickly rearranged the outdoor furniture to get ready for the shoot.  I metered the lighting situation, set up reflectors, and a tripod, then made a few adjustments while continuing to let Dad watch the Saturday afternoon game (by the way…. this is a wonderful way to get on Dad’s good side!)  Once everything was set up and ready to shoot in walked Dad and BAM – the gorgeousness (is that a word?) began!!  Tricia, looking more like a sister rather than a mom, along with Bre, Teddi and Mike pulled off an incredible shoot.  We shot on the porch then of course, in my famous “Holubek” photography style way, trampled through briars and begger’s lice for several sensational outdoors/woodsy type shots.  Take a look for yourself and you can judge from the photos just how much fun we had!  Thanks guys for a GREAT day!

8 months and on the prowl!

This summer my brother from Minnesota, his wife and daughter stopped by one Saturday for a quick photo shoot and to help me get this Mac up and running.  First you must know that he is 13 years younger than me – however I still look younger, lol, and this is his first child, Maddux.  I believe she’s been quite an adjustment for my outgoing, super structured, college life-style brother and his wife Samm.  Maddux, who had just realized she could get around on all fours, was curious about everything in sight and sitting still  on the floor with goodies all around (camera, lights, Caroline, balls, reflectors, etc) was not her idea of fun.  Everytime her mother sat her on “the spot” she took off.  But look… isn’t she sooooo cute even though she’s on her way to get into trouble!  I love it and hope Paul and Samm have many more happy years of chasing Maddux just as I have chased my children and continue to do so!
