I can’t believe how fast the summer has zoomed by!  School starts in 2 weeks and we still have to take our family vacation.  So, with tons of errands ahead of us, the kids and I set out yesterday to get school supplies before they are all picked over.  Thank goodness we did because we’re still missing 2 canvas zippered pencil pouches. I honestly don’t believe they exist in Greenwood.  After visiting four (that’s right, 4) stores I decided I’ll have to google them online.  But that’s not even the best part, lol!  While we were in School Tools a newspaper reporter interviewed the kids and I about “back to school” shopping.  Of course I gave her my piece of mind about these pencil pouches and about everything else I could think of at the moment with 2 kids, now in our fourth store and 100 degrees outside.  So… when she asked to take our picture, I had to politely inform her NOT to shoot my rear!!!  OMG… I now know how you guys feel when I take your picture!  But… you know I’ll take care of you, I don’t have a clue how her pictures will turn out.  I guess now I’ll have to wait and see what this frazzled image looks like.  If you see me in the paper…now you know the whole story!  Too funny!

PS:  If you know where to get zippered canvas pencil pouches… TELL ME!

Extreme Excitement! Extreme Locations! Extreme Style!  and…. it was HOT!  Unusually  hot for June… so what do you do to cool off?  You shoot UNDERWATER with an amazing model and you get incredible images!!!   This session was so much fun!  Caroline, of course, was the first one in the water then Teddi and myself.  Yes… this was the first model who has ever had to sign off that she would not tell how I look in a swimsuit!!! lol!  It only took a few passes from side to side before … BAM… we had it.  Oh… and I have to thank Linda from Southern Elegance for so graciously altering one of their gorgeous formal dresses to fit Teddi perfectly.  She looked amazing. The print is now in the Greenwood Starbucks until the end of July, but just in case you can’t make it by Starbucks, you can enjoy it here.

I’m so excited! (I know I say that alot) But….. I really am!  I have a HUGE portrait display going up the end of this week in a well know ultra couture spot in town!  Beautiful models from the past 2 years, gorgeous outfits from Sugar and the Frilly Frog, and outrageous FUN!  All of the details will be posted on my twitter account… you’re not following me????  Well, click here and get started.

Are you ready for fun?  I’m talking about amazing fun …. Dress-up fun…..Diva fun…..and the cutest fun you can imagine!!!  We’re celebrating July Big!  Seriously…. REALLY BIG and REALLY FAbuLous!!! I am posting our Limited Edition Dress-up sessions now so that you can make plans!  Little girls are going to flip over the awesome outfits, jewelry, hats and more that Caroline and I have in store for them.  By all means you can also bring your own special attire for added fun!  This is for boys too… with ties, hats and boots…. the studio will be exploding with FUN!  These sessions are scheduled for indoors, however, weather permitting we’ll step outside for a quick shot to give your little one the full top model experience.  There will be lip gloss, guns to tote, ruffles to wear and squishy prizes to take home!  The amazing Katelyn is modeling one of our outfits below (from the Frilly Frog), but there are more to come!  Just wait… we have pink and black… diva glam, cowboy couture, rock star zebra bling, ties and tough jeans, fancy and pearls…. the list goes on and on.  Seriously!  I’ve just can’t help myself  I keep adding more dress-up supplies… and they’re sooo cool!  To check out the details CLICK HERE!

For now…. check out Katelyn…. she’s breathtakingly beautiful!

Things are CRAzY here at the studio!  In the midst of a storm is really an understatement… it’s more like a tornado!!  We are in the middle of renovations… HuGe WonderFul changes.  All of the carpet is out, but with only 1/2 of the floors are down so I’m basically working in a construction zone!   My husband is a dream! (I pray he doesn’t read this b/c I’ll never live it down) but he is a master handy man.  I wanted the chandelier in the most impossible place… and he did it! (Big Smooch!) The floors… he’s doing them, the bar, check, the table, check, the whatever, check check check!  I’m smiling even though my world is upside down right now!

So… during all of chaos my postings have been few and far between… however things couldn’t be better… or should I say more beautiful.  Take a look at these recent session shots and enjoy!

Children are always fun, unpredictable and energetic (mine are on overload when it comes to the energetic part), and Riley was no exception!  We has tons of fun just listening to her talk in her way cool deep raspy voice, but it was when she had the ball in her hands that she really came to life.  I just wonder if there’s a future ball player here….. hmmmm, both mom and dad are tall.  Who knows… but wouldn’t it be neat to look back one day and see the makings of a gorgeous ball player when she was only 3!!!  Ok… back to the story, lol.  Her mom, Amy, was the winner of the March Frilly Frog mini session give away.  Be sure to stop by the Frilly Frog (and tell Lisa I said hello, lol) and register for your FREE session – there’s a winner each month!! …. AND your child’s photo will be displayed on the walls of the Frilly Frog modeling their Frilly Frog attire!!  I love seeing the kids excited about their images on the walls. Oh… you don’t know where the Frilly Frog is??? Where have you been, lol!  It’s a couture children’s boutique located downtown Greenwood… on Main Street… you can’t miss it! The clothes are to die for and Lisa’s always getting in new things…. fun fun!

Check out Riley in her FF (Frilly Frog) outfit!

Ok… Whitney is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!  So why should I be worried when I arrive on the scene to shoot this knock-out bride you ask!!!  Well this is rather blunt and I can’t figure out for the life of me how to word it nicely… but there was cow POOP e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e!!!!!  lol!! Seriously!  I looked at Whitney and said… “uh Whitney”, “Yes Mrs. Karen” replied Whitney with her big smile and bubbling personality, “you do realize there is cow POOP everywhere don’t you?” ( I don’t know what I was thinking she would say, duh) “Yes, but that’s ok… I’m a country girl” she giggled and smiled right at me.  And with that we began.

This was a super fun shoot!  Caroline – in her FLIP FLOPS (she was not prepared for poop at all, lol) thought she was going to be eaten by a cow (you know how they lick their lips with their long blue tongues – eewe gross, lol) well, one kept inching closer and closer to her unti it was about 10 feet away! (btw, a big black cow) Finallyl Caroline took off for the truck!  Yes… we were in a BIG 4-wheel drive truck, move us on out, truck, the kind where you need a step ladder to get in truck!  We started shooting at the tractor,  then moved to the barn, and finally laid her up on a hay bale, when out of heaven I saw an old lightening struck tree.  I looked at Whitney and said “that’s where I want to go”.  Everyone looked at me and said “are you sure”?  Yes – I’m sure, and in a matter of minutes we traipsed across the pasture, lighting equipment in hand, and landed ourselves in the most majestic spot in the entire pasture.  Take a look for yourself…. this is where the bridal portrait came from.  Thank you Whitney, Phyllis and Shannon for an awesome and eventful day!

It Rocked!!  We had so much fun!  Seriously… the food was delish (Thank you Dave – he’s the new Chef at TW Boons!),  The Models were Gorgeous!  And… And… And… the videos were totally Fricking AmAzInG!!!  If you’ve not seen them on Facebook go NOW!!  The place was packed… standing room only!  The Pink Potion in the martini glasses – well that was a favorite as well!  Jake, my son, served himself up 3 or 4 and insisted “Mom, you’ve GOT to have one of these”!  His little fingers froze the entire night from holding his drink….and of course the sugar high hit once we arrived home! Lol!  Want to see the #1 video that opened the show?
